Winter Wonderland

The past few weeks have finally brought us enough snow to have it stick to the ground. Not that I am complaining. I love snow from Christmas Even through New Years Day, then I am done with it. Warm days, swimming pools, and flip flops are not compatible with snow, therefore snow is not compatible with me. I have enjoyed the more mild temperatures and have not once wished for more snow.

There are some benefits to the snow that has finally shown itself though, one of them being that the kids love it and I love to watch them enjoy the white winter wonderland it is to them. With the first big snow Joe took them out to build a snowman. The kids couldn't resist a small snowball fight too, and Chloe thought she was hilarious when she tagged Joe's bum. Joe made helped make our tall tall tall guy and he turned out great. Warmth overruled the snow though and two hours later this snow man was melting, melting until he was small, small, small, and then gone.

This last weekend brought more snow and brought me some blisters from trying to be awesome and shovel our whole three car with room for a camper/trailer/whatever driveway by myself. We have a snowblower, but there wasn't much snow and I thought it looked like fun. I guess it depends on your definition of fun - my sore hands, not fun. The huge piles of snow my shoveling created, so much fun for the kiddos. Joe upped the fun when he moved the snow and made a little hill for them to tube down. We have yet to take the kids tubing and I think having done this, the nest snow will bring us to real hill because the kids loved their little slide. Adam just enjoyed being awake and included.

I love the look on Adam's face as Joe sent him down solo. Maybe the snow isn't so bad after all.

My kids are missing the snow SO much this year! I'm a flip flop girl too though :) Maybe just 2 weeks of snow would be nice
